A catch-all email mailbox is one that captures all the email messages sent to invalid email addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but somebody mistypes it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Just one mailbox per domain name can have this feature enabled and in this way you will never miss emails because the other party has an out-of-date address or has made a mistake. The drawback of having a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving a lot of unsolicited bulk messages, but this issue can be resolved by using anti-spam protection software. It’s also crucial to remember that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot forward inbound emails to a 3rd-party email address.
Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting
You’ll be able to configure a catch-all email mailbox without effort in case you’ve got a shared hosting plan with us. The Email Manager in our custom Hepsia hosting Control Panel is full-featured, yet extremely user-friendly, and it will enable you to activate different features, including the catch-all one, with no more than several clicks. All the mailboxes that you have set up will be listed alphabetically in this section and to the right of each one of them you’ll find a small "Catch-all" icon. Clicking on it once will activate this option, clicking it twice will disable it. Since you can have just one such mailbox per domain, our system will inform you if you already have another mailbox with this option activated or if you have active email forwarding.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
The in-house built Hepsia Control Panel that comes with every semi-dedicated server plan that we’re offering will permit you to configure a catch-all mailbox easily even in case you don’t have much email/web hosting experience. All you need to do to accomplish that is click on the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox that you have set up using your domains in the Email Manager section of the hosting Control Panel. Since you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will let you know if you have already created a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you wish to use has email forwarding enabled. If you decide that you don’t need this feature any longer, you can turn it off by clicking again on the same icon. The Email Manager section will also allow you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
