.NAME Domain Names

Set up in 2001, the .NAME top-level domain is the sole TLD planned for personal websites only. These domains can be personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other titles people are famous by. At the beginning, solely 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you desired to book john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Existing 3rd-level domains remained active.

Through our firm, you can buy your .NAME domain for an interval between one and ten years. You will be able to alter the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already purchased domain to our firm if you obtain its EPP transfer key from the present registration provider and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been finished. There are no specific conditions on who can acquire a .NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the goal behind its creation alive, the Registry may check who the owner is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain, the registration can be challenged.

The .NAME top-level domain is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no additional cost. In this way, your dot NAME domain will be recognized in your country or region with the proper spelling in your local language.
